28.11.16

I absolutely loved Prague and it is one of the places I could see myself living, buying items here is quite cheap, the city and people are friendly and lively.

Total £501.07
For 2 people, hotel+flight (BA) and breakfast buffet included

The Hotel -

GRAND MAJESTIC PLAZA (4 1/2 STARS)

The lobby is absolutely beautiful.

View from the window

The hotel beds are so comfortable and the hotel amenities are amazing, they have a spa in the hotel as well!

Top Tip:
We used the mini bar to stash some of our own snacks and drinks to keep fresh!

An active missile found lodged!

Quirky chair outside stationary shop

The sculpture, titled In Utero, is a work by Czech artist David Cerny
There on a quiet street not far from Prague's old town square stood a nearly 20-foot, stainless steel sculpture of a naked woman in all her artistic glory!

Top Tip:
You can get free tourist information at the train station, including maps!

Goofing around while taking pictures! My sister was not amused...

Strahov Monastery

KlĂ¡Å¡ternĂ pivovar Strahov

There is a brewery on the grounds of the monastery, if you like beer this is the place to go. Unfortunately I don't like beer so...

A hilltop, medieval monastery with a theological hall, vast library and church.

Astronomical Clock
Medieval astronomical clock located in Prague's Old Square, on the hour every hour, the clock strikes and the four figures start to move!

Mozart's Don Giovanni marionette show in original Italian
I loved the marionette show, it was one of the highlights of my trip. If it is still running, I recommend watching! Although, I had terrible jetlag that evening and kept nodding off during it, so shameful!

Part 2 coming soon

ALUMINE DETOXIFYING CITRUS C FACIAL CLEANSER REVIEW

11.11.16

Finding the perfect facial cleaner is like finding a vintage Chanel handbag in a charity shop, difficult but not impossible. When I got asked to review this product I was a little over the moon as it would have been my first, I guess, sponsored post.

I got in touch by a person who works for ACN and one of their smaller holdings is Benevita a personal care company and Alumine is one of the brands they stock. They reached out and asked if I could review and take images while using this product, I used the cleanser for one week and keep reading to know my thoughts on it.

I bought the product for £20 including VAT. The product is available to buy on their Benevita website for £20.40 and is 118ml. It is said to cleanse, tone and detoxify the skin and is for normal, sensitive, dry, oily and mature skin. The product also comes with a little booklet for more information on the product which as a consumer you should always refer to when using products.

The Ingredients

It's key ingredients include: Vitamin C, Chamomile, Coconut, Alba Bark and Wheat Proteins.

Aqua, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamide MEA, Ascorbic Acid, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Glycerin, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, Zea Mays Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea Leaf Extract, Salix Alba Bark Extract, Keratin Amino Acids, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Panthenol, Linoleic Acid, BetaCarotene, Polyquaternium-10, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Dimethyl Lauramine Oleate, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Starch, Dimethicone PEG-8 Meadowfoamate, Cetyl Triethylmonium Dimethicone PEG-8 Phthalate, Glycol Stearate, Parfum, Alcohol, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Oxalic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Limonene.

Pros

- Orange citrus scent
- A small amount goes a long way - you only need to use a size of a pea on your face.
- Long use date. You have 12 months to use the product from when first opening it.
- The squeezy bottle states that it is vegan
- The green round recycle sign states that the company making the product pays a recycling and recovery organisation to oversee ecologically responsible management of their packaging waste.
- Doesn't seem to contain any parabens - more info FAQ
That’s why, at AluminĂ©® and ACN, you won’t find any ingredient that contains the word “paraben.”
- Product not tested on animals
- Brightens skin and leaves a slight glow

Cons

- Alumine products are not 100% natural, but that doesn't bother me much.
- Drying and seemed to cause me to get more spots. Acne is a big issue for me.

Overall

I don't think this product is for me and I wouldn't recommend it to someone who has acne or young skin. I think this product is better suited for people who are pale-ish and aged over 25. The smell of the product is great and the texture of the cleanser glides over my face easily but the product dried my face so much I had to keep topping up my moisturiser throughout the day. I understand that it takes time to see a difference and I don't expect great changes to come after only a week, but for acne reasons I don't think I can keep using the product as it's simply not suitable for me.

Face on left was before product use
Face on right was after product use
