Hello all, hope you had a splendid long weekend for those of you who live in England and for those of you who don't, did you have a fun Easter? I hope so, because I know I did! Apologies I have been a lazy g*t for not posting this post on Monday..shame shame!
My family and I went to a Cadbury's Easter Egg Hunt at Cliveden House in Buckinghamshire/Berkshire. We had to pay admission fee to get into the area as it is owned by the National Trust then £3 to do the Easter egg hunt, but only my 3 year old niece took part. Here are a couple of pictures I took on the day, I hope you enjoy x

Today was a marvellous day I must add, because not only did I get to catch up with one of my best friends but I actually did some studying too! That is a big deal considering I am the most laziest person in the world, I'll take any chance at procrastination!
I went to the library to study for a couple of hours and then I went to have early supper with my friends at Pizza Express and guess what, because I was O2 Priority I got my main meal for £5 - today has been a good day. We had dough balls as a starter which was superb served with garlic butter and two new additions a tomato salsa and green chutney type sauces, I didn't try the latter. I had the Fiorentina pizza and a Sprite.
Thought I would do a different post instead of showing you what I wore or ate, I am going to show you what was on my face. Yes, that's right, my face.

Last week Friday Adele was performing in the O2 Arena and luckily enough I went and was over the moon. My sister bought the tickets in the O2 priority 24hr pre-release in which I think we got pretty good seats. We sat directly opposite the stage on the other side of the arena, have a look at the map below of the O2 arena and where the red arrow is pointing is where we were sitting. The yellow drawing is the shape of the screens/stage Adele had that night.

I was a bit uneasy about going to the Adele concert because a) I haven't listened to the whole album b) haven't listened to a lot of her songs, seriously I don't know what I am doing with my life if not listening to her albums. But, I was so glad I went to the concert in the end. It was amazing, the atmosphere, the way she presented the concert and above my sister bought the programme like she always does - one side had her eyes open and the other side her eyes shut.
I'm not going to include any videos as I believe that is copyright infringement and rather not get in trouble for that! But I have included some pictures of the concert and my wanderings around London.

The doors opened at 6.30pm, but we used the chance to get into London a bit earlier and visit some shops and get some food in our bellies before the real fun started. We went to Brandy Melville for the first time and was really cool and bought a couple of tops, Oliva Bonas which is a really nice quirky gift shop/home décor store, MAC - bought some lipstick and lip pencil, Laduree in Covent Garden as I have never been there before and was beautiful upstairs in the tea seat area, Kikki.K a Swedish stationary shop - I went a bit nuts in there and bought a couple of things, and we went for a late lunch to On the Bab, a Korean restaurant in Covent Garden. I'll do a haul some time soon oh and a food review of On the Bab, probably next week.
She played the most popular songs from her discography - Hello, Skyfall, Rolling in the Deep, When We Were Young, Chasing Pavements to name a few. She ended the concert with Rolling in the Deep, which is my favourite song from her because a) has such a good rhythm to it b) was in a Gossip Girl episode which Blair and Chuck snuck into a Bar Mitzvah...but mostly b! At the end they had confetti cannons and the confetti had her lyrics on them how amazing, although I wished I sat closer to her and got better shots, at one point she was doing squats and lunges to let the audience have pictures/selfies with her.
I watched this one video of her having an interview for her album 21 or 19 with Ushi and I think you guys have to watch it, it is hilarious and you won't be able to stop laughing! Do you know what else is hilarious - Adele, well she isn't a what, but a whom. I swear she needs to do stand up comedy one day, she was so funny on stage tell her audience about the antics that she gets up to when not performing - one funny one was her mouth exercises she has to do every day, it was an actual show and tell piece!

So Wednesday (16/03) we went to the Vogue 100: A Century of Style exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery after our 9am-11am lecture.
I wore a headband they were selling - going for a Blair Waldorf vibe! I saw this stand up cork board thing (below) and thought that was nifty as I have never seen something like that before, such a good option if you don't want to stick a board on your wall, but want something to stick important to.
Thereafter we made our way back to our friends house and it was great until we got onto the bus to our friends house. Oh boy, there was so much traffic we didn't move at all for an hour and I was like "let's just walk" because it would have taken just a little less than an hour, but at least we would have got there earlier. It was £1.50 to ride a bus, but not worth being stuck in traffic with a bunch of noisy strangers on a London bus and I did not care if I was warm. I don't even live in London any more so the quicker I got to my friends house the more time I could have spent there but that didn't happen.
My friend was like oh we will move shortly don't worry, I wasn't worrying, but what's the point in staying on a bus stuck in traffic. She just wanted to stay warm so I stayed on the bus with her as she wouldn't have known where to get off at to get to our friend's house.
We got to her house eventually, ate pizza, watched telly and played twister. Which believe it or not was the first time I have ever played and I was pretty good at it, if I say so myself.

But it was so pretty inside, we went to the store in Kingly Court or near Carnaby street. The way the store is visually merchandised is to perfection, it put everything in such a good light I wanted to buy it all.

Sorry for not posting for a whole week even though I said on my instagram that I would (Bad Ameesha). For this week I am aiming to post Monday (today) to Thursday and chill over the Easter break with my family.
Last month saw the launch of a highly anticipated exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, Vogue 100: A Century of Style celebrating British Vogue's 100th Birthday, it draws on the extensive collection of archived imagery spanning from 1916 (the first issue of BV) to current day. The exhibition is running from 11th February - 22nd May 2016.
Some of the photography has never even published therefore has been stored in Conde Nast archive, the extensive collection of photography shows the who's who of fashion, beauty and celebrity culture of the 20th Century with most of the iconic footage by celebrated photographers such as Cecil Beaton, Bruce Weber, Lee Miller, Irving Penn and Mario Testino, to name a few.
Located at the National Portrait Gallery in Trafalger Square the nearest tube is Charing Cross
which is right next to Nelson's column remember to say hi to him, okay? I went with one of my university friends who is always dressed to impress and never fails, you can find her 'here'.
We suggest that you book your tickets online as getting them on the day it may be sold out it was particulary busy for a Wednesday afternoon (16/03) when we went. We also got student discount but we did have to pay a transaction fee but who's complaining!
The exhibition is curated to work in reverse chronology starting with the magazine today and moving back through the decades to the very first published issue in 1916, which I didn't know until I read the leaflet they gave us - always read the leaflet!!
Also, before visiting the exhibition I watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a couple of articles etc. on Vogue, Alexander McQueen, Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington and it made me understand the exhibition more and why there is one. I am not saying you should do the same, but if it interests you, why not?
Sadly, photography is not permitted in the exhibition, but I had an itch to take photos and couldn't walk away with not taking any. If you know me well you know I like taking pictures of absolutely anything, I love photography it's an electronic memory that I can look back to any time I want and I am sorry but the gifts from the gift shop do not suffice.
They also have a gift shop funnily enough, they sell an exclusive range of items inspired by the exhibition, and of course me being me nearly bought the entire shop! I bought: 4 postcards (80p each), Vogue 100 Highlights book (£14.95), Vogue covers plastic folder (£3), 2 fridge magnets, one for me and one for my sister (£4 each) and a Vogue 100 keyring because I collect them (£9). The image below is of a box of biscuits with icings of previous Vogue covers.
We also went to the Portrait Cafe after to get nibbles, I didn't really like what they had to offer - basic coffee shop food, but way more expensive. So I just got the last piece of Victoria Sponge cake. The cafe was nicely decorated and had images hung up for sale from the Vogue exhibition, mostly likely reproductions.

I am glad I went to the exhibition and I recommend anybody who loves fashion, beauty, celebrities or just good plain old art and it is a temporary exhibition so I would hop to it!
