This is the shit
On 09/06/16 I went to the Shake Shack with my friend Deek, you can find him 'here'
It has been a while since I have posted anything up on here and I apologise for that, but my exams do come first!
I have seen a couple of people go to the Shake Shack in Covent Garden, London and it seemed like quite a popular place to eat and being me I like trying new things out so we made our way to Shake Shack. Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog stand in New York back in 2001 and now have Shacks all over the world! This is the first ever UK Shack!
I had the 'Shroom Burger (Vegetarian) £5.50 which consisted of a 'crisp filled portabello mushroom filled with melted cheese, topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce'. I believe it is the only vegetarian option on the menu, but was delectable nonetheless! Below is an image of what the burger looked like after I munched a huge chunk out of it, you can see the melted cheese oozing! I also go a side of Crinkle Cut Cheese Fries which were £4 topped with their 'blend of cheddar cheese sauce'.
The food was amazing here and very affordable, I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place out, this is a proper burger joint without much of the grease. The mushroom didn't taste too mushroomy, there were a lot of flavours to mask the taste if that is a problem for some. Everything was cooked to perfection and was a good value for size.
Can we please give attention to the little pots of ketchup and mayonnaise (first image), I thought this was such a great idea and creates as little as mess as possible. The little tubs came with lids too and you can take as many as you need! Shake Shack also do treats for dogs how adorable is that!
They also have a great system where you line up to order and get given a device from when it starts vibrating and turns red that means it's time to collect your food from a collection window. But while you're waiting you can grab a table al fresco dining and you can listen to some first class music from the Covent Garden Market Piazza.
